Five generations of the Capafons-Ossó family have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of vines and the production of wine. Each of these generations has contributed its labour and skills to extract the best quality wine from the vines, from the great-grandparents who worked the lands of Mas de Masos, to the young growers and winemakers of today’s generation. The wine tastings take place in the old renovated farm house, Ca la Rossa.

At the Joan Ametller winery, we would like to share our passion for the land in a tourism project around the world of wine. We think of wine tourism as a way of connecting with the environment, of transmitting the value of the landscape and the plots that give us the grapes. In addition, we open the doors of the winery, in Mas Mustardó (Morera de Montsant, Priorat) to show you how to take care of the production process and how to accompany the aging of the wines, which you can also taste in a room with views to the spectacular Sierra de Montsant.

Mas Igneus was founded in Poboleda in 1997 as a result of the collaboration of two friends and the Poboleda Cooperative. It was the first project to begin producing organic wine in the region. This association lasted until 2004 when the two members broke away from the Cooperative and moved to Gratallops where they founded a new winery, modern and functional. The wine is made from grapes grown on this property and on other organically tended vines belonging to local growers.

Clos Figueras was founded in 1997 by Christopher Cannan, a Priorat enthusiast, encouraged by a friend with a good knowledge of the region. The production of the winery comes from 18 hectares of the soil that typifies the area - llicorella - and is located in the centre of the municipal boundaries of Gratallops. Some of the vines are the original Carignan (Carinyena) variety, with very old Grenache (Garnatxa), whilst new varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin blanc... have also been introduced.

TASTINGS & RESTAURANT
The winery offers several attractions to visitors including local wine tastings, its own shop selling national and international wines, and also a restaurant set in beautiful surroundings where top quality Mediterranean cuisine is served.
The restaurant and gardens are also available to hire as a venue for private events such as weddings, business meetings or other functions.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Burgos-Porta is a family firm with a long tradition of wine making dating from the XIX century. The present generation, formed by the husband and wife team, Burgos and Porta, has created this winery for the production of quality organic wines. It is located within the municipal boundaries of Poboleda at Mas Sinén, a stone building dating from the XVII century, surrounded by the family vines. These vines grow at an altitude of between 300-500m, cultivated in terraces and on slopes, with a total area of 15 hectares. The vines, planted in the shale-based soil known as llicorella, are almost fifty years old.
The wine is produced under the control of the Consell Català de la Producció Agrària Ecològica (The Catalan Organically Grown Produce Council). Artisan methods have been used to produce these wines, though new technologies are also used to achieve a high-quality product.

The Cal Batllet winery was created in the year 2000 by restoring the old family winery situated in Gratallops. Its production comes exclusively from the growing of the family-owned vineyards, some as much as 100 years old, cultivated on hillsides with slate soil placed in Gratallops and Torroja del Priorat. The grape varieties grown here are the local Carinyena and Garnatxa in reds mainly, and the old Escanyavella in whites.
Was with the 10th vintage, the 2009, when we decided to move from the wine range of Closa Batllet and Petit Batllet, to elaborate all the wines under the distinctive “Vi de la VILA”, clearly committed with a philosophy of terroir wines, expressing all the personality from each village where we have our roots: Gratallops and Torroja.

La Vinícola del Priorat was founded in 1990 by an association of cooperatives from several different villages within the Priorat: el Lloar, Gratallops, la Vilella Alta and la Vilella Baixa. Its wines were amongst the first to be bottled in the Priorat. Today, various different brands of wine are produced, well known in the market, and 75% of the sales are from wine exported to more than twenty countries. Other products include Vermouth, Ranci (an old wine made using a specific method in very old barrels), and sweet Red Grenache artisan wines.

In 1978, husband and wife team Sangenís and Vaqué began to plant vines on their land within the boundaries of Porrera. Since 1700 or earlier, these lands belonged to the maternal branch of the family and were mainly used for vines. In 1979, the owners began making wine in the old cellar of Josep Simó, grandfather of the owner, who had made and sold wine from 1886 until his death. Today in this winery his traditional wines are still produced, though new trends have also been incorporated.
