Terres de Vidalba was set up in 1996. It is a family business where we make high-quality wines using only grapes from our own estate which we care for and pamper throughout the year. This is a personal project that started from zero, with the aim of enjoying making the finest wine every year.

We are thrilled to share this project with all of you, and this is why our wine tourism option is offered right here on our own estate, where our wines are born and grow. We'll stroll through the estate as we tell you all about our project, and afterwards you can taste the wines we make at the very

Since the creation of Mas Doix in 1998 by Valentí and Ramon Llagostera, we have taken on the commitment to maintain, care for and strengthen our vines while exercising respect for our environment, its culture and its people. With dedication, consistency and responsibility, we love every last inch of an optimal terroir for the cultivation of low yield vines that provide us with excellent grapes.

Celler Castellet is a family business, created in 2005, connecting both land and sentiment. Thanks to the commendable work in our vineyards and winery, we have achieved wines of quality. The slate based soils, known as “ llicorella” gives us authentic, structured wines with high mineral, and good colour.

We have two small wineries, located within the nucleus of the village. In one of these we have installed the machinery and materials needed to produce the wine, and to store it in barrels of fine grade French oak. In the other, we have the ideal ambient conditions to maintain the health and tranquillity needed for the wine to mature in the bottles, whilst they wait to be labelled, boxed and placed on pallets ready to leave the cellar.

René Barbier, descendant from a known family of French Winemakers, came to the Priorat when the wines from this area were still totally unknown. He bet successfully on the recovery of this unique region and became the first of the pioneers of the new reds from the Priorat. In 1979 he bought a small property of 20 hectares in Gratallops where he planted Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. With that the journey of Clos Mogador began. Continuously inspired by this region, René tries to capture in his wines its unique flavour, giving room to a “Vino de finca”. Vino de finca is a different qualification, which is a further degree of quality augmenting the existing DOQ Priorat, guaranteeing that all the grapes used for this vintage, and those of the past 5 years, come entirely and exclusively from the Domaine Clos Mogador. Later, between Manyetes (Vi de vila Gratallops) and Nelin (white), he acquires approximately 20 hectares more. Always haunted by the terroir, Rene tries to capture in his wines the classical of the area.

The height, soil and orientation of the vineyards give each one of our parcles their own identity to the wines of Marco Abella. Our philosophy is to ensure that each wine expresses its authenticity, typicalness and essence being totally respectful of the environment. The wines of Marco Abella are a clear expression of this land that gives them life.

The last three generations of both families have closely followed the development of the most deeply ingrained viticulture tradition of Priorat. Leaving the respective families' old cellars, the new cellar Balaguer i Cabré, where our wines are presently elaborated, is located in the oldest part of Gratallops in a refurbished ancient building especially equipped for the purpose which, besides the elaboration plant, contains the centuries' old house original aging cellars and a tasting room with magnificent views of the vineyards and surrounding area. Our philosophy is: "A vineyard, a grape, a wine", and we are the only winery in Priorat that only produces monovarietals of grenache.

The origins of Cellers de Scala Dei go back to the nineteenth century when, following Mendizabal’s disentailment of church lands, some local families acquired the lands of the monastery of Scala Dei and became the pioneers of bottling wine in Priorat. The facilities are located in old buildings of the Carthusians. The aging cellar is a XVII century building, situated in the landmark building where lived the procurator of the monastery.

A small artisan winery in Gratallops founded by Josep Roca.

Visit to the winery, wine tasting
Our artisan winery is located in the village of Gratallops. Here, you can get an insight into Priorat handcraft wine making. Taking pictures is strongly recommended. The winery has a large indoor space, where we usually host numerous groups for wine tastings, wine-and-food pairings and other creative activities related to wine tourism. It is here that you can get the detailed information about Grapevine Adopters Club membership with Celler Devinssi.

Visits to the vineyard
Celler Devinssi offers trips to our vineyards outside Gratallops overlooking picturesque views of the village, the Montsant mountain, the Hermitage and the Southeast of the district of Priorat. You certainly should bring a camera with you to get some memorable snapshots. Vineyard scenery is just lovely all year round: in winter with schist slabs glittering and grass sprouting, in spring with vines burgeoning, in summer when vines flourish and ripen towards the grape harvest, in autumn when vineyards liven up with reddish and yellowish colours.

This project was begun in 2004 by a group of friends with the aim of offering a modern vision of the Priorat, though based on respect and preservation of the traditional wine culture. The cellar, located in a village house, still has the vaulted ceilings of the traditional wineries in the region.
