Mas d'en Blei
Information
In 2006 the Ferrús Guasch family, with roots near the Priorat area, bought the 17.5-hectare Mas d'en Blei estate, in the municipal area of La Morera de Montsant, with the aim of setting up a family business devoted to making quality artisan wines.
The estate regained its agricultural value with the planting of 20,000 vines under the direction of winemaker Jordi Torrella. The varieties used, largely grenaches and carignan, are suited to the wines to be made, to the slate soil and to the orientation and altitude of the different parts of the holding. The winery and the old farmhouse, of which there are records from 1756, are part of a set of buildings beside the river Siurana.
