Casa Gran del Siurana
Information
Casa Grande del Siurana, S.L. was born out of the desire of the Suqué i Mateu family of the firm Cavas y Vinos del Castillo de Perelada (Girona) to make high-quality wines with the DOQ Priorat label.
The company bought two estates in the year 2000, covering a total of 50 hectares. On the Casa Gran estate there is an 18th-century house that was owned by the Carthusian monks of Scala Dei, who started the art of winemaking in the Priorat around the 12th century. The other estate, made up of terraces and slopes, is called "Fredad".
