Places to visit

The lead mines are a paradise for geologists and people who collect unusual stones and minerals. Lead-mining was particularly important in this area thanks to the rich veins of galena and millerite. The Eugènia mine is open to the public and is also known as the "Big MIne". It was the biggest for its dimensions, depth and yield. The second mine is the Mina Règia. The Art Nouveau "Casa de les Mines" is of equal importance and dates from the early 20th century. The building was used for the director's office, the laboratory and residence of the management. In this village there is also a church (Església de Santa Llúcia) built in the 18th century. Neoclassical in style, with a white bell-tower, the only white one in the whole county.
