The New "Swimming Pool Route"
The Association of Boutique Hotels and Rural Accommodation together with the Priorat County Council are organising a "Swimming Pool Route" for visitors to discover the region during the summer months.
During the summer months, guests staying at establiments which are part of the Association of Boutique Hotels and Rural Lodgings, will have the opportunity to spend 5 days visiting 18 open air swimming pools around the Priorat all with just one ticket.
The idea is to promote tourism in the region and enabling visitors to visit our swimming pools more easily as they travel around the region. It is a great way of combining winery tours, cultural visits, hiking etc.. with a refreshing dip in a nearby pool.
The cost of the ticket is 12 € per family (2 adults + children under the age of 12) and 8 € for a single use ticket. The tickets last for 5 days and allow access to all participating swimming pools around the Priorat region.
This offer is only available to guests of the establishments which are members of the Association - a total of 31 establishments. Tickets can be bought at all member establishments. Each guest will be supplied with a card with the establishment's name which they will have to show before entering the swimming pool. All establishments will have forms available for taking down the details of the guests, their card number and the name of the establishment. This will also help to identify the success of the promotion at the end of the summer.
All participating swimming pools will appear in a leaflet which includes the route, timetables and services which each swimming pool offers visitors. The leaflet also includes a map of the region. This leaflet will be available at Falset (Priorat) and Cornudella tourist offices and will also be on the following websites: www.turismepriorat.cat and www.prioratrural.com. The poster of the Priorat Swimming Pool Route will be visible at the Palau Robert tourist office in Barcelona and also at all participating swimming pools and respective town halls.
