In 1997 Bodegas B.G. decided to make and market its wines, starting off with a small winery with three tanks, a destemmer, a cooling system for temperature control, a small manual bottling and labelling system - all very much on a family scale, but with maximum quality control.

The project meets the product flow requirements for winery management and fulfils the winemaking requirements to make our wines to DOQ standards. Basically, the winery has three floors of 328 square metres each, with two levels underground on three sides and the other enclosed by a 90 cm thick stone wall. The idea is to have the product flowing by gravity, i.e. to cut pumping to a minimum by taking maximum advantage of the force of gravity, though it will take time to complete this. For the moment only the first level is used, divided into ageing, winemaking and reception.
